Victor & Yolanda / Belfast City Wedding

I’ve been so excited to blog Victor & Yolanda’s wedding since it happened back in October! Set in City Hall on a beautifully sunny autumn day, their wedding was full of family, love and laughter. I loved their laid back, effortlessly cool style and little bits of their relationship that came through during their day. I hope you enjoy viewing their photos as much as I enjoyed shooting it!

Engagement: Lucy & Jason

Don’t let the sun fool you- it was absolutely frigid when we headed out to Kinbane Head for Lucy & Jason’s engagement shoot. Despite the near arctic temperature these two rocked it, proving that love is all we need to keep warm! (Too cheesy?)

Travel Journal / Sardinia

We jetted off to Sardinia for a long weekend at the start of October. Between wedding season and visiting my family in Portland, we wanted to spend a few days relaxing in the sun before the months of gloomy winter weather set in! Turns out, October is the perfect time to visit Sardinia.

Sunny and warm enough to wear shorts but free from the crowds of tourists that come with summer, we spent our days wandering around, eating seafood caught that day and swimming in the sea. Sardinia has a sort of ‘old world’ Italian feel to it that I haven’t felt from other cities on the mainland. English isn’t as widely spoked and the shopfronts seemed unchanged for centuries.

We stayed in a lovely Airbnb at the top of the city by the Bastione di Saint Remy- a massive terraced monument that provides fantastic views over the city. Directly behind it is the medieval district, full of winding alleys and tucked away cafes. Perfect for wandering. There’s also a fantastic bar called Libarium Nostrum looking over the city that serves amazing Negroni’s and sunset views in equal measure (see last photo!)

On the warmest day we hired a little car and left Cagliari for the sea. During our first day we visited the state beach Poetto on the fringe of Cagliari. It was nice, with crystal clear water and fine sand, but we found it very windy and maybe not as clean as we hoped.

Venturing out armed with a picnic and miniature bottles of Aperol sodas, we discovered a beach called Spiaggia Mari Pintau. I really don’t think photos do this place justice. It boasted the clearest water in the brightest aquamarine I had ever seen, as warm as a bath. Although it was a bit windy, we didn’t let that deter us and spent the day alternating between lazing in the sun and swimming. Ideal. A must visit if you’re in the area.

Grains Pizza - absolutely ridiculous pizza + natural wine

CivicoZero La Proscuitteria - big charcuterie boards + natural wine (sensing a theme?)

Antica - really lovely pasta and the seafood is not to be missed

Inu Wine Bar - natural wine

Cremosa Dolci Emozioni - unreal gelato, I’d recommend the pistachio

Libarium Nostrum - the bar I mentioned earlier with the fantastic Negroni’s + views

Anderson Family

The Anderson family had a perfect evening for photos last month! With the sun setting over the Mournes we battled the wind and cold for their family photos. David’s originally from Northern Ireland and Telia from the States and they wanted photos that captured their little Irish-American family in some of the most beautiful scenery the Emerald Isle has to offer!

Hamilton Wedding

I had the absolute pleasuring of photographing Caragh & Michael’s Riverdale Barn wedding last September, and what a day it was! There’s something so special about capturing two of your close friends tie the knot and every bit of the day was so perfect and so them. Fair warning, there’s a lot of photos here but I couldn’t seem to cull it down!

Travel Journal / Munich & Bavaria

Gregg and I travelled over to Munich for his birthday in August and I was (admittedly) so surprised by how great a city it is! We didn’t have any firm plans or any particular places we wanted to eat at or visit, so mostly just wandered around. Normally we’re committed planners, with a vast list of the best places for coffee and food and a strict itinerary, so it was a welcome break to be more carefree.

Munich is a great place for food and history, two of my favourite things! Think pretzels as big as my head, steins of beer at the Hoftbrauhaus and the best kebabs in the world (Mustafa’s Gemuse Kebab, if you’re wondering!)

On our last day we hired a car and drove out to a lake in the Bavarian alps called Tegernsee. It helped that is was clear and 30+ degrees, but it was one of the most beautiful places I’d ever been to. I’ve been pestering Gregg all summer about wanting to swim, so it was such a treat to relax in the crystal clear lake water.

If you’re looking for a city break that’s a bit more chill and has the option of venturing out for mountain hiking or swimming, I couldn’t recommend Bavaria more!

Kelso Wedding

Rachel & Thomas got married earlier this summer and I’m so glad I finally got the time to blog about it! Their day was filled with laughter and fun, and the sun finally came around for some shots in the beautiful garden near their venue.

Engagement: Jayne & Stephen

I headed out with Jayne & Stephen a few weeks ago for their engagement photos on a clear and sunny late summer evening, you couldn’t get a better night for photos if you tried! Stephen’s family farm was the perfect location, the rolling barley fields and tumbledown stone mill were so beautiful and picturesque. These two rocked it and I can’t wait for their wedding in a few months!
